Greenhouse Cover Films
Manufactured in co-extrusion technology, greenhouse cover films, with strong and durable properties are used for covering vegetables, roses, flowers and fruits, as well as protecting them against outside climatic conditions to allow growers all-year round cultivation.
The customized polyethylene (PE) film optimizes optical and mechanical properties to respectively compile with geographic location, microclimatic conditions, and demands of grown plants.
Film UV stabilization system is adequately formulated to withstand a lifetime from 1 to 5 years, according to the geographic location and UV sun exposure.
Manufactured with advanced top technology of raw material and additives, this cover protects crops from the external harsh climatic conditions, such as wind, rain, and hail and promotes plant harvesting.
Crystal high transparent film (>90% light transmission) used for crops requiring high light exposure with plants not developing in height.
The diffused film ranging from 35 to 65% light scattering protects crops from high energetic sun rays, eliminates shadowing forming by plants, and avoids phototropism effect.

According to film application and lifetime
Manufactured with advanced top technology of raw material and additives, greenhouse cover films protect crops from extreme temperatures harming the plants, conserve a good environment as close as possible, within acceptable temperature ranges to promote the biological plant growth.
Film with Ethyl Vinyl Acetate (EVA) co-polymer blocks the Infra-Red (IR) radiation, with a higher effect on the FAR IR radiation reflected by the soil during night time to preserve it inside the tent and protect the plants from the frost temperatures.
Film with IR additive blocks the IR sun radiations, with a higher effect on the NIR IR radiation coming from the sun during day time to keep it outside of the tent and protect the plants from high energetic radiations, converted into high temperature affecting the plant growth. A mix of both EVA and IR blend will provide a balanced formulation to combine the above highlighted 2 film features designated to moderate geographic zones.
The crystal thermal film is recommended for locations with low sun exposure and for plants requiring direct sunlight exposure. Whereas, the diffused thermal film, available with ranges from 35 to 65%, is recommended for locations with high sun exposure and for plants requiring a diffused light.

1 – Coolant Greenhouse Cover Films
Coolant Greenhouse film is designed with special additives creating a barrier layer that blocks and reflects high energetic sun rays, reducing to the minimum its transmission to the internal Greenhouse side, optimizing the microclimate around the plants and promoting normal biological plant growth. It has a high light-scattering coefficient that promotes a high level of diffusion which is highly recommended for sunny regions.
Benefits
Applications
The greenhouse application protects plants from adverse atmospheric agents and influences the crop microclimate, improving their quality and allowing higher yields.
The high sun radiation exposure in hot regions increases the greenhouse internal ambient temperature leading to plants stress and consequently affecting the total yield.

– Low resistance
– Medium resistance
– High resistance

2 – DCF (Disease Control Film)
Known as an important type of disease and insects control films with “UV-blocking” features, which absorb UV-radiation up to 380 nm, thus achieving:
Benefits
Note: Adopting a “UV-blocking” film must be coupled with pre-field testing at growers mainly in case bees or bumble-bees are used as pollinators. The DCF film on its own may not eliminate diseases, but helps the growers to control its proliferation through the cultivated crops;
Further special applications must be cared out such as Aeration, heating, to avoid humidity and high-temperature fluctuation inside the greenhouse that enhances the development of diseases.
Properties
3 – APB (Anti Petal Blackening Film)
Special designed Greenhouse covers film for reduction of “Blackening” of Red Roses petals, due to special UV stabilizers that blocks sun UV range responsible of this petal blackening under hot environment, thereby increasing Roses commercial value.
Benefits
Not recommended for other colored roses.
Note: Adopting the “UV-blocking” films by growers must be coupled by a pre-testing on-field especially when other Roses colors are cultivated along with the red one under the same greenhouse, mainly the purple rose color, to avoid fade colored roses that will impact its commercial value.
Properties
4 – Foamed Greenhouse Covers Film
Hi-tech co-extruded Polyethylene Thermal film with micro-bubbles in the middle layer that provide an exceptional light diffusion effect without jeopardizing the total light transmission required by the plants for photosynthesis activity.
Beside this beneficial scattering effect that avoid shaded areas around tall crops, the film characteristics offer a thermal effect provided by the EVA material usage in film formulation;
It blocks the near IR (Infra-red) rays penetration inside the greenhouse tent during the day, reducing the ambient temperature raise, then blocks the long IR (infra-Red) rays dissipation outside the greenhouse tent, limiting the reverse temperature during the night.
It is UV stabilized film for 3 years lifetime under 160-180kly per year exposure location.

5- Anti-Fog Greenhouse Covers Film
All our Greenhouse covers film can be offered with Anti-fog formulation option on demand;
Known also as Anti-Drop, or Anti-drip.
Water condensation on the films inside greenhouses in form of water droplets caused by an excess rising in the ambient atmosphere humidity has a negative impact on the cultivation:
1- Decrease in total light transmission from 15 till 30%
2- Focus the sun light on the plant leaves leading to scorching effect (loop effect)
3- Water drop onto the plant encouraging disease proliferation, mainly the fungal.
Usage of Anti-fog additive on the inner surface of the Greenhouse covers will replace the water droplets formation by a thin layer of water that slope down to film sides, limiting number of problems faced by the growers, and in some cases limits the mist formation whenever it is the case.
This does not go without a correct greenhouse ventilation and heating when necessary, in order to reduce the humidity inside the greenhouse atmosphere.
Growers can now benefit from the newly developed permanent Anti-fog effect; please refer to your contact at the company for this purpose.
NB: Follow the printing instruction on PE Film for the correct film installation to benefit from the Anti-fog effect.
Knowing the complexity of the Anti-Fog mechanism with multiple parameters affecting its function, Masterpak does not grant any warranty neither accept any accountability regarding the effectiveness and duration of the anti-fog in films.
